Splurge vs. Steal | A MAC Lipstick Dupe

Hello there, beauties!

It’s common knowledge that MAC lipsticks are tubes of perfection sent from the heavens above.  However, their price is close to the height of heaven itself, so I don’t usually splurge on them.  Don’t get me wrong, I love MAC lipsticks as much as the next girl, but I just love a good deal more.

I get so excited when I discover dupes for high-end products since I am a lover of affordable, drugstore makeup (when it is of good quality, of course).  If you have the same dilemma, I’ll hopefully be able to help you out in that department.  I’ve recently discovered an almost-perfect drugstore match for MAC’s ‘Faux’ -one of my all time favorite lipsticks!

Mac Faux Lipstick Dupe

mac lipstick dupe

Top – Essence 05 Cool Nude \\ Bottom – MAC Faux

Essence’s Nude Long-Lasting Lipsticks are absolutely amazing and I wish I had every shade.  They are super affordable, coming in at just $2.99 a pop!  The shade 05 Cool nude is almost a perfect dupe for MAC’s Faux (which happens to cost $16!).  The formula is slightly less pigmented and just a tad bit darker, but when applied to the lips, you really can’t see any difference.  I may even prefer the dupe to the original!

The formula is creamy with a bit of shine to it.  It’s pigmented and lasts a good few hours.  It does rub off a little when eating or drinking as most satin to glossy-finished lipsticks tend to do, but that is to be expected. It’s hydrating and the shade is very flattering!  I think this color would look amazing on so many skin tones!  It is a cool-toned pink that is on the mauve side.  You guys know how much I love my mauve lipsticks!

Overall, both lipsticks are great.  The formulas are very similar -Essence’s is just a bit more glossy.  The colors are almost an exact match and the lasting power is pretty much the same.  MAC’s does last a little longer, but with a $13 difference in price, I’d definitely recommend Essence’s as the way to go!

A Collaboration with Beauty Bunny! | My Top 5 Fall Makeup Products

Hello, lovelies!

Today, I am collaborating with Savannah from Beauty Bunny to show you our top 5 fall makeup products!  Savannah’s blog is amazing, so you definitely need to check it out and see all of her fall favorites as well!  I am super excited to show you the makeup I’ve been loving for my favorite time of year, so let’s get right to it!

Fall Makeup

  1.  ModelCo Cosmetics Shadow Sticks in the shades Costa Rica, St. Barts, Portofino, and Purple Haze.  I am counting these as one favorite instead of four since they came in a kit together in my Love Me Beauty bag.  These eyeshadows are SO pigmented, easy to use, and blend super smoothly.  They don’t crease like most cream shadows tend to over the day.  I don’t even need primer under these!  They dry/set on your eyelids after a few minutes and won’t ever budge.  I’m pretty sure these things are waterproof, because the swatches were extremely difficult to wash off of my hand! ModelCo Cosmetics Eyeshadow   ModelCo Cosmetics Eyeshadow   ModelCo Cosmetics Eyeshadow
  2. Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Solow

Fall is all about those matte lipsticks, so I have been enjoying Colourpops Ultra Matte Lip in Solow.  It’s a natural shade that goes with any makeup look!  It’s extremely easy to apply and I’m in love with it.  I’ve done a post further in depth on these liquid lipsticks since I was so intrigues by all the buzz about Colourpop and had to give them a go myself! colourpop liquid lipstickcolourpop liquid lipstick

3.  Clinique Blush in Sunset Glow

This blush is perfect for any season and looks great with any makeup look.  I love the slight shimmer it has to it.  It is a beautiful mauve color that actually has a bit of a coral tint to it in person.  It’s a difficult shade for me to describe, but I think it’s gorgeous and will definitely be wearing it a lot this fall (and all year round;).

4.  M.A.C. Eyeshadow in Amber Lights

To me, fall means warm, shimmery eyeshadow.  This is just that!  I love this shade in any season, but during the fall I really go ham on it and wear it almost every day.  It may look intimidating, but upon application, I think it seems a little more on the bronze side than an overpowering orange color.  I highly recommend it and think it’s well worth the investment!  I’ve even done a post on my go-to fall eyeshadow look primarily using this shadow, because I am in love with it!

5.  Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eyeliner in Bourbon

Normally, I am not a huge fan of bold eyeliner for my eyes, so I like to go for more natural looking colors such as brown.  I am in love with the formula of Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-on Eyeliners, since they are super creamy and easy to apply, but also set in place after a few minuets and never smudge on me.  This eyeliner is in the shade Bourbon, which has a slight gold shimmer to it.  The formula of this eyeliner is so creamy that I even like to use it as eyeshadow and blend it al over my eyelid.  I wear this pretty much every day that I put on makeup during the fall!

Thank you so much for reading!  I hope that you enjoyed seeing my 5 makeup necessities for fall!  I know you’ll want to see Savannah’s top picks, too, so definitely go check out her post and give her a follow!  Thank you, Savannah for doing this collaboration with me!

Marvelous Mauve | My Favorite Lip Color

Hello, lovelies!

How do you pronounce ‘mauve’? Mawv. Mohv. AGH. *pulls out hair* Who knows? Anyway, I think we can all agree that this shade is beautiful no matter what it sounds like! I am an avid fan of mauve lips.  I have an ever-growing collection of products which look exactly alike since I am always drawn to this shade! *whoops*  To me, mauve is a muted/dusty purple color, similar to a “Your Lips but Better” shade, except a bit darker.  I typically shy away from bold lips, so this color is perfect for me since it is so natural and adds just a bit of color.  I have a few favorite products in this shade that I am constantly reaching for this time a year, which I shall now share with you all!

purple lipstick

  1. Ofra Lip Pencil in Wine This lip liner is the perfect shade for fall.  It is a slightly deeper shade than my lips, but still looks very natural.  When I use this to lightly line the outer edge, it does not look like I am wearing any product at all, my lips just look naturally full.IMG_0690
  2. Buxom Lipstick in Hooligan  This shade is pretty much an exact match to liner I just mentioned, only in lipstick form.  I love to wear this during the fall!  It’s moisturizing and long-lasting.IMG_3369 (1)
  3. Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Lovecraft I LOVE THIS LIPSTICK.  This shade is very popular.  It is constantly sold out and very hard to get your hands on! I used some of my points to get a little sample of this beautiful product since I can never find the full-sized one.  It is a matte lipstick with some major lasting power!  It does pretty well even when eating and drinking!  The shade is slightly lighter than the previous products mentioned and is an exact match to the natural color of my lips.  I normally shy away from such opaque lipsticks, but since this one is so natural, I love wearing it! It is not drying as most matte products are and it doesn’t settle into any fine lines.IMG_1592 (2)
  4. Buxom Gloss in Dolly  This gloss compliments with Hooligan very well, but also looks amazing on its own.  I wear this gloss constantly and love the glossy shine it adds to my lips.  IMG_3487

  5. NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu This gloss is perfect for everyday wear.  I always find myself reaching for it since it is an easy, swipe-and-go product.  It is a bit lighter than all the other shades.  I love that this gloss has no shimmer in it and leaves my lips with a very natural shine.  If you’re looking for some high quality, affordable lipgloss, I highly recommend all of NYX’s Butter Glosses! IMG_7065
  6. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien I know, I talk about this lip pencil constantly on my blog… but for good reason!  This product is so beautiful and leaves your lips with a little bit of shimmer.  It goes with any makeup look and you definitely need it in your life.IMG_3606

Thank you so much for reading!  What are your favorite mauve lip products?  Also, how do you pronounce mauve?

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip Review + Swatches

Hello, lovelies!

Since Colourpop’s Ultra Matte Lip collection has been extremely popular this fall, I decided it was about time I got in on the action!  These liquid lipsticks cost $6.00, which makes them a bargain compared to most!  I bought 5 colors that range from pale pinks to vampy shades.  Today, I’ll be sharing with you all of my thoughts about these lip products as well as showing you what they look like!

Colourpop Lip Swatch

Colourpop Lip Swatch

Price: $6

Packaging: I think that the packaging of these liquid lipsticks is super chic and beautiful!  I like how they are glass and feel very sturdy and high quality.

Formula:  Holy pigmentation!  These things are vibrant.  The color is so THERE that people will see your perfect lips coming from miles away.  Upon application, this liquid lipstick feels super smooth and is easy to apply accurately, with a really sharp, clean edge. Just make sure not to reapply the product over itself or else it can begin to peel off a bit.  When these dry, they definitely live up to their title of “ultra-matte”ness!  They will not budge without makeup remover, so you don’t have to worry about eating or drinking -your lipstick won’t go anywhere all day!  If you are into over-lining your lips, these will be your best friend since they are very easy to use when drawing on a new lip shape!  Since they are so matte, overlooking won’t be obvious or noticeable at all.

This light, nude pink is a very natural color that isn’t too overpowering.  However, I did find that the lightness of the color made the wrinkles in my lips appear a bit more noticeable. Overall, it’s a beautiful color and I can see why everyone raves about this shade!

Colourpop Lip Swatch

Colourpop Lip Swatch

This red, fuchsia color is also extremely pigmented.  This may be the most vibrant lip product I have ever worn!  Even though the color is a bit too bright for me, personally, to wear very often, it’s fun to play with bright colors sometimes and this one is easy to apply!  Since the application is so smooth, you don’t have to worry about smudging the product around or having it look messy.
Colourpop Lip Swatch

Colourpop Lip Swatch

I was expecting this shade to be a bit more on the pink side, but once applied, I saw that it is mostly purple.  I’m not complaining since the shade is so beautiful!  This color is gorgeous and (of course) extremely pigmented.  I found this color easier to apply than any of the others for some reason.

Colourpop Lip Swatch

Colourpop Lip Swatch

I was again a little surprised by the true color of these liquid lipsticks… I expected this shade to be much lighter.  It is still a beautiful shade, but on the website, I thought it appeared a bit different.  I think this shade would look absolutely gorgeous on someone with a deeper skin tone than mine!

Colourpop Lip Swatch

Colourpop Lip Swatch

This shade is described as a vampy, blackened red on the website… It definitely lives up to its description.  Again, the shade is too dark for me to ever be able to pull off very well, but it is fun to play around with for different makeup looks!  Since it is so dark, I had a little bit of trouble with making sure the color was even everywhere on my lips and did not look patchy.  I tried to clean this shade up with concealer around the edges, which ended up turning the edges of my lipstick bright red, so I don’t recommend trying to fix these up once they’re in place!  I had a bit of difficulty trying to apply such a dark color without messing up, so be patient and take your time with these dark shades!

Colourpop Lip Swatch

Colourpop Lip Swatch

Recommendation:  I would recommend the Ultra Matte Lipsticks to people who love really bold and pigmented lip products.  If you like matte lipsticks that stay in place all day, you’ll love these!  However, if you are afraid of wearing super bright lip colors or if you have extremely dry lips, you may want to stay away from these or just try out a lighter, nude shade.  I highly recommend Solow!

Final Thoughts:  These liquid lipsticks are very high quality and super affordable!  The pigmentation is incredible and the dry time is quick.  They stay in place all day and don’t budge!  I think it would be easier to have a clean edge by using a lip liner, however I managed without one for all of these swatches, so it’s not necessary.  Since my lips are very dry, the product did tend to settle into the lines a bit even though I exfoliated my lips beforehand and used chapstick.  However, I think that is to be expected with matte lip products and overall, these things are amazing!

Thank you so much for reading!  I hope that this has been helpful to you!  Let me know if you have tried this liquid lipsticks and what your opinion of them is!

Hanna

5 “Swipe and Go” Lip Products

Hello, lovelies!

I love bright and bold lips, but they are not something that I want to wear every day.  I experiment with color on occasion (mostly for blogging purposes), but on a daily basis, I like to wear sheer and natural-looking products.  On top of being uncomfortable, opaque and heavy products are difficult to apply quickly when you need to head out the door.  I have found a few things that give my lips a very natural color and are easy to use.  I can throw them in my purse and reapply without using a mirror if I need to during the day and I won’t have to worry about looking like Miranda Sings.  Don’t get me wrong, she can definitely rock that look, but it’s just a bit too difficult for me to pull off. 😉

<img src="everyday-lipstick.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" />

  1. NYX Buttergloss in Tiramisu

<img src="nyx-butter-gloss.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Nyx Butter Gloss" alt="Lip Swatch" /> <img src="nyx-butter-gloss.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Nyx Butter Gloss" alt="Lip Swatch" />

<img src="nyx-butter-gloss.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Nyx Butter Gloss" alt="Lip Swatch" />

NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu

Who doesn’t love NYX Butter Glosses?  They’re amazing -especially for the price!  This is my favorite one out of the bunch.  It is a cool-toned pink that goes perfectly with any makeup look.  It has no shimmer and looks very natural.  Also, I love the name!

2. Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Glisten

<img src="tarte-lipsurgence.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Tarte Lipsurgence" alt="Lip Swatch" /> <img src="tarte-lipsurgence.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Tarte Lipsurgence" alt="Lip Swatch" />

Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Tint in Glisten

Tarte’s LipSurgence Lip Tint’s are basically a very glossy, tinted chapstick.  These tints are super moisturizing!  This shade has a natural shimmer to it and is the perfect everyday coral shade!

3. Buxom Full-Bodied Gloss in Dolly

<img src="buxom-lipgloss.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Buxom Lipgloss" alt="Lip Swatch" />

Buxom Lipgloss in Dolly

<img src="buxom-lipgloss.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Buxom Lipgloss" alt="Lip Swatch" />

I absolutely love Buxom’s lip glosses! They feel tingly when you first apply them since they do have a plumping effect.  This is a “You Lips But Better” shade that adds a nice shine to my lips!  I use this gloss constantly.  I always somehow end up with the travel-size bottles of this gloss and have been through many of them now!  Glosses are a hard product to use up, especially since I don’t use lip products often, so the fact that I’ve used up several bottles really says something for me!

4. Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien

<img src="nars-satin-lip-pencil.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Nars Satin Lip Pencil" alt="Lip Swatch" />

<img src="nars-satin-lip-pencil.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Nars Satin Lip Pencil" alt="Lip Swatch" />

Nars’ Satin Lip Pencils are some of the greatest creations on earth in my humble opinion. 😉  They are super easy to use, moisturizing, and beautiful.  This shade has a slight shimmer to it, which I think is stunning!

5. Bonne Bell Lip Tint in Brown Voyage

<img src="bonne-bell.jpg" alt="Natural Lipstick" alt="Lipstick for School" alt="Lipstick for Work alt="Swipe and Go Lipstick" alt="Bonne Bell Lip Tint" alt="Lip Swatch" />

This lip tint is a very natural-looking product that is super moisturizing.  I don’t have to worry about looking like a clown if I have to swipe it on without a mirror, so it’s perfect to throw in my bag and take on the go!  Did I mention that it smells amazing?!

Thank you so much for reading!  What are your favorite “on-the-go” lip products?  I’d love to know!

Matte Lips 101 | Prevent Creasing and Flaky Skin

Hey there, lovelies!

With the Fall season coming up, I’ve been getting very excited about matte, Kylie Jenner-esque lipsticks!  If you have dry, chapped lips like me, you’ll know how much of a struggle it is to have matte lipstick look halfway decent and not settle into all the lines and flaky skin!  I’ve discovered a few things which make applying matte lipsticks SO much easier for me and today, I’d like to share them with you!

IMG_5120
Matte-5Matte-7

1. Exfoliate

IMG_5035IMG_5724 (1)IMG_6652-1
This may be the most important step!  If your lips are not exfoliated, the lipstick will make your lips look like a chapped mess.  I have a bit of trouble with flaky lips, so I regularly use Lush’s Bubblegum Lip Scrub, which smells absolutely amazing!  Also, I make my own DIY lip scrub that is super easy to make and happens to smell wonderful as well!

2. Moisturize

IMG_4277IMG_4289

Matte lip products will suck all the moisture out of your lips, so it’s very necessary to use some sort of lip balm before applying your lipstick!  This will prevent your lips from getting dried out underneath the matte lip product.  I absolutely LOVE Lush’s Ultrabalm and highly recommend it for anyone with dry, flaky skin!  This product can be used on the lips or any troubled, dry areas.  It’s very soothing and locks in moisture like no other product I’ve ever used!

3. Prime

IMG_6998

When applying any sort of lip product, it is very helpful to prep your lips with a thin layer of concealer or just plain old face primer.  Lip primers also exist, but I don’t think they are necessary when some of the products you probably already own will do the trick!  This will make the lipstick last longer, show the true color of the product more, and make the application easier.  I like to use Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer or Smashbox’s Photo Finish Primer.  You’ll be amazing at how much more smoothly the lipstick will apply with such a great base!

4. Line

IMG_9799

Lining your lips with make the application of your lipstick SO much cleaner, easier, and more precise.  It will prevent any bleeding or smudging of product and also increase the lasting power!  I am using my L’oreal Infallible Lip Liner in Rose, but I also recommend Makeup Forever’s Lip Line Perfector, since it is clear and works with any color of lip product.  It’s absolutely amazing at keeping your lipstick in place and preventing any bleeding of product!  It really does perfect the lips!  I think it’s a great investment if you’re into lip products and want something to make them last all day and look amazing!

5. Conceal

IMG_3755

After applying your matte lipstick of choice (Some of my fave’s are Gerard Cosmetic’s Serenity and Kat Von D’s Lovecraft) using a concealer brush or any small, precise brush you own, sharpen the edges of your lips and clean up any mistakes you may have made with some concealer.  This will really finish off your lips and make them look perfect!  Again, I’m using my trusty ol’ Naked Skin Concealer with a BareMinerals Concealer Brush.

Thanks so much for reading!  What are some of your tips for flawless matte lips? (Yes, that rhyme makes me very happy)

Hanna

DIY Lip Scrub | Lush Dupe

Hello, lovelies!

Today, I will be showing you a super simple DIY lip scrub that I love!  It is made with household ingredients, so it is very convenient and cheap!  I love Lush’s lip scrubs as much as the next girl, but I actually prefer the ones I make myself and they are way cheaper since they’re homemade! This scrub smells amazing and is adjustable to whatever you might have on hand. Enjoy!

IMG_5748

www.LipstickLovely.com

You will need:

  • 1 TBSP Brown (or white) sugar
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (or olive oil)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

IMG_5691 (1) IMG_5697 IMG_5698

Simply mix all of the ingredients together and feel free to adjust the amounts of ingredients to your liking until you get the perfect consistency and sugar-to-oil ratio.  Then pop the mixture into some cute containers and get scrubbing!

IMG_5700 (1)IMG_5715IMG_5732 (2)IMG_5727 (1)IMG_5724 (1)IMG_5719=

The sugar scrub will exfoliate all of the dead, flaky skin off of your lips, while the coconut oil moisturizes.  The honey gives the scrub a nice texture and scent and the cinnamon will increase blood flow to your lips causing them to be plumper after using the scrub!  The vanilla is optional along with the cinnamon, but I really recommend adding this to your scrub since it makes it smell SO amazing.

I hope that you all enjoy this simple DIY and try it out yourself!  It is my favorite lip scrub and I think you’ll love it, too!  Thanks for reading!

My Travel Makeup Essentials

Hello, lovelies!

*Psst* Today is the last day to enter my MAC Lipstick Giveaway, so be sure to enter >>> here <<< before time’s up! 🙂

When traveling, I like to have all of my makeup necessities with me.  I pack all of my less-essential makeup (foundation, eyeshadow, bronzer, etc.) in a bigger bag that is kept in my suitcase, and keep all of my most important products with me, in my carry-on.

These are the products I cannot live without and are easy to use while traveling!

IMG_4672 IMG_4675 IMG_4674 IMG_4677

In my makeup bag (which is from Ipsy) , I have:

NYX Matte Blotting Paper  – This is a MUST for my oily T-zone!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer -I’m always exhausted from traveling and will look like a zombie without a little help in the under-eye department.

Pixi Beauty Crayon Combo in Wide Awake -This helps bring my tired eyes back to life when I use it in my waterline.

Cailyn Cosmetics Just Mineral Eye Polish in 117 Goddess – I love the travel-friendly packaging of this!  It comes with a little sponge applicator that you use to apply the product to the lid for a nice, shimmer-y gold look!  I blend it out a little with my finger and I’m good to go!

Lush’s Ultrabalm – I don’t know about you, but flying makes my lips SUPER dry, so this is a must!  I can use it on any other dry patches I have also!  See my review of this product in my Lush Fav’s post. 🙂

Revlon Photo Ready Powder – I can get VERY oily in my T-Zone, so touching it up with powder is a must!

Benefit Lollitint – This product has multiple uses, which makes it great for travel!  Also, I have the little, baby sample size which is even more perfect.  I dab this on my cheeks and lips to give me some color and help further get rid of the zombie effect the plane has taken on my face.

Victoria’s Secret Mirror Compact (this one is no longer available, but I found a similar mirror:) – I don’t know about you, but I cannot successfully complete the no-mirror makeup challenge on land, nonetheless in a plane, so this is very useful!

J’orel Parker Rollerball in Classico – Traveling is the perfect chance to use the rollerball perfumes I normally would forget about!  They are the perfect size to take with you.  I recommend this scent SO much.  It’s quickly become a new favorite of mine and it’s not overpowering!

Revlon’s Eyelash Curler – I love how much more awake I look when curling my lashes, so this is definitely a necessity!  This curler NEVER pinches my eyelids, so I really love it!

Sephora Outrageous Curl Mascara – This mascara is the absolute easiest mascara to apply that I have ever had the pleasure of using.  It grabs every lash and gives me SO much length but also a lot of volume without making my lashes clumpy at all!

Thanks so much for reading!  What’s in your travel beauty bag?

Hanna

Collab With Plus Beauty: My Top 5 Summer Lipstick Picks

Hello, lovely people:)

Today, I am collaborating with one of my favorite bloggers; Katie from Plus Beauty!  We will each be sharing our top 5 Summer Lipsticks!   You should definitely go have a peek at her post and follow her amazing blog. 🙂  I hope you enjoy seeing our favorite lipsticks for the summertime!

IMG_4078IMG_4065 IMG_4066IMG_4061

1. Mac’s Pure Zen Cremesheen -$16 USD

This color is the perfect summery-nude shade since it is a warmer, peachy tone and won’t look odd or too light on tanned skin.  It has a sheen to it and is lightweight for everyday summer use!

IMG_2048 IMG_4142 IMG_4122

2. Essence’s Coral Calling 01 -$2.99 USD

IMG_6687IMG_4114 (1)

This is a coral/pink shade with a slight sheen.  It lasts for hours and never dries out my lips.  Even after it has worn off, these lipsticks almost dye my lips a little, so they always have color even after the product has worn off.  The price of this lipstick is amazing!  I really recommend Essence’s lipsticks if you’re looking for something affordable!

3. Wet ‘n Wild’s Hot Paris Pink 542B – $.99 USD

IMG_0278 IMG_4108

I LOVE this beautiful, bright pink shade.  It is slightly shiny and feels very light on the lips for summertime.  It leaves a pink tint to the lips even after wearing off.  It claims to have 4-hour wear, but will leave them looking pink even after the 4 hours are up!  I love this color of pink, because I find it actually makes my teeth look whiter, where many pink shades make teeth look yellow.  Also, you can’t beat the price!

4. Essence’s Wear Berries 09 -$2.99 USD

IMG_1555 IMG_3861 IMG_4132 IMG_4095 IMG_4096

This lipstick is a warm purple that has a beautiful sheen to it.  Again, you can’t beat the price and formula of Essence’s lipsticks.  I love this shade as it is a warmer purple color that doesn’t look too overpowering when worn.  It doesn’t make my teeth look yellow as some purples can.

5.  Maybelline’s Color Whisper in 100 Plum Prospect – $7.49 USD

IMG_5763 IMG_4097  IMG_4140 IMG_4167

This is a very warm, berry, purple shade.  It may look intimidating in the tube, but it is such a sheer, gel-like formula that the color is not overpowering at all.  It can be built up to a brighter color or, by using just a few dabs, give a light berry tint to the lips.  This is a glossy lipstick and lasts a surprisingly very long time.  This dyes my lips and leaves them a beautiful berry color all day long when I wear it!  After swatching it on my hand, it dyed my skin and still hasn’t worn off! This lightweight formula is perfect for Summer!

IMG_4072IMG_4075

IMG_4022  IMG_4015IMG_4004 IMG_3990

Now that you’ve seen my top picks, you can find even more amazing lipsticks for Summer over on Katie’s blog!  Thank so much, Katie for collabing with me! ❤

I hope that you enjoyed seeing all my Summertime lip favorites!  What are yours?

XO,

Hanna
