Cozy Cable-Knit: A Fall to Winter OOTD

Hey there, loves!

The season of twinkly lights and coziness is upon us!   That means it’s time to break out those chunky sweaters and warm jackets!  I absolutely love all things about fall and winter.  In my opinion, this time of year is the best by far.  The Christmas decorations are already up in my house and I am listening to festive music at this very moment.   Of course, I had to include my merry Starbucks coffee that I was sipping while taking these cozy photos -it was keeping me warm in the freezing weather!

IMG_2175

Today, I’m rocking a super cute and comfy outfit to get into the holiday mood, including some clothing pieces that were so kindly given to me by thredUp.  If you’ve never heard of it, it’s an awesome online place to shop for major deals on clothes and accessories!  Most prices are up to 90% off retail price, which is perfect for this gift giving season!  The Ann Taylor jacket that I am wearing today only cost me $50 compared to the original price of $228!  Also, I got a great deal on my cable-knit sweater from the Gap, which happened to inspire this ensemble!  I hope that you enjoy my wintery outfit of the day and it sends rays of coziness to you through the screen.

While the exact pieces I discovered on thredUp aren’t available any longer, I did find some pretty similar items for the sweater and coat!  You can also check out thredUp for yourself and find some treasures of your own for this cozy weather!  They have a huge assortment of clothes to choose from and you can specify what condition you’d prefer.  Both items I received were brand new with the tags attached!  It’s a great website if you like quality, name brand clothes with better prices. On top of all that, they’re a brand that’s great for the environment since they’ve upcycled 12 million items and saved them from going into the trash!

Fall Floral

Hello, beauties!

With fall approaching fast, I’ve been very excited about infinity scarves, boots, and sweaters!  Autumn is my favorite season since I love the fashion, food, and the weather!  Even the makeup during this season is something I look forward to!  I’ve put together a neutral fall-inspired outfit that is very cute and casual for everyday wear.  Every piece in this outfit is a basic staple for the fall season and goes perfectly with the pop of color from the infinity scarf!  This is a typical outfit that I would wear on a cool fall day and I hope that you enjoy it!

My Fall Favorites | Must-Haves for Fall 2014

~Hello, Lovelies!~

I’m back today to show you all my must-haves and favorites for, in my opinion, the best season; Fall! I am in love with the leaves, crisp air, and holidays in this season.  I also love the anticipation of Christmas during Fall along with all of the delicious and warm Fall foods. So, now, let me show you my necessities during this cozy season!

Starting off with makeup, I have been loving a nice matte, brown-ish red lipstick, because I think it just screams Fall.  I received City Color’s Be Matte Lipstick in M7 Cappuccino in September’s Ipsy Bag and I was so excited!  A lip color like this is definitely necessary for Fall!

IMG_0966IMG_0952IMG_0948IMG_0940

A simple trick I’ve been using to turn any lipstick matte and immediately more fall-like is by dabbing some translucent powder on top!  It’s SO simple and the, you won’t have to worry about going out and buying matte lipsticks if you don’t have any! Also, this prevents the lipstick from getting on your teeth and makes it last longer.

IMG_0927IMG_0930

The next makeup product that I absolutely could NOT live without in Fall is Tarte’s Limited Edition Rainforest After Dark Palette! It has literally everything you could possibly want for your Fall makeup from beautiful gold eyeshadows to gorgeous Fall-y purples and those matte browns, which are a must have.  Also, it’s blush bronzer and highlighter and perfect and it’s so nice to have them all in one place.  It makes getting ready much easier when all the products I need are in the same palette!

IMG_9665IMG_9662

Next, staying with the same beauty-product theme are some nail polishes I have been loving!   NYC’s Matte Topcoat can turn any nail into fabulous matte Fall-ness.  A classic red nail is a must-have and I been really enjoying Pacifica’s Red Red Wine when I want to feel really festive.  Lastly, this has been my go-to color for Fall, Essie’s Penny Talk, which is a sparkly gold/silver polish that only needs one coat and tries super quickly! I am obsessed with it, because I get very impatient sometimes, when it comes to my nails, but with this, it only takes me a few minutes and BAM! Nails are done!

IMG_1117IMG_1106

I have been obsessed with gold rings for Fall!  Midi rings have also recently become a new love of mine and I just can’t get enough of them!  I purchased these at Charming Charlie’s and they were super inexpensive.  Also, if you were wondering, I got my nails shellacked (Is that how to spell it?… I don’t know, so let’s just call it a gel manicure) at a local nail salon and went for some colors similar to the polishes i just mentioned.

IMG_0977IMG_0974

My everyday fall outfit would consist of a lot of burgundy and gold colors and some chunky sweaters and scarves.  My favorite chunky sweater is this tan/cream colored one, from Old Navy, where I also purchased the purple/burgundy shirt, which IS Fall.  I mean just look at it.  It is.  And while I was at old Navy, I also purchased the black, chunky infinity scarf… I love.  I love.  I love.

IMG_1024-1  IMG_1020-1 IMG_1027-1IMG_1040-2

Of course, I need to wear some shoes, too, so now I shall tell you what shoes you would see me wear literally every day.  They are just perfect.  They’re so versatile, they go with practically anything and they are so cute!  On the far left, are some converse, which were purchased in a grey, slightly green color from Zappos.com.  Also, the next part of shoes which are black, slip-on Vans were purchased from the same website.  The last pair of shoes are some super cute brown leather boots with a buckle on the side, which I got from JC Penney’s last fall.  I’m pretty sure they’ll still have some similar ones if you are looking for any.  🙂

IMG_1128 IMG_1124 IMG_1123 IMG_1122

Next, I have been listening to these songs to get me through the cold rain that makes me want to lay in bed all day and not get anything done.  Taylor Swift’s new CD, 1989, is perfection.   (I just might be listening to the CD right now, actually… hehe) I am obsessed with every song, because they make long drives in the car turn into dramatic music videos and dance parties, so I really recommend that you listen to it! AND it comes with some super cute polaroids that have lyrics written on them.  If that doesn’t sell you on it, I don’t know what will. 😉  I also am obsessed with Coldplay’s CD when I just want to listen to some nice, relaxing music.  I love every song!  They are all so beautiful and very calming! Again, nice to listen to in the car while rain is pounding on the windshield.

IMG_1079-1 IMG_1075-1IMG_1073-1IMG_1055IMG_1064-2

Last but not least is THE most obvious favorite for Fall… a candle!  I have found the most perfect scent that completely captures Fall!… BBW’s Spiced Pumpkin Cider!  When I feel like really getting into the spirit of cozy Fall-ness, this is what I will light.  I REALLY need the larger size, because the small one isn’t going to last much longer and I might die when it runs out.  I purchased a cute little candle holder along with the candle, which is also super Fall-looking!  I love it!  It immediately makes any candle put into it look fancy!

IMG_1100  IMG_1092  IMG_1086-3  IMG_1083-1

And with that, my Fall Fav’s have come to an end. 🙂  I hope that you all enjoyed them!  I love you all!  Thank you so much for reading!

Tarte Limited-Edition Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette Review!

~Hello, Lovelies!~

Today, I will be reviewing Tarte’s Limited-Edition Rainforest After Dark Palette!! I am SO excited to review this item, because it has been raved about by SO many people and now, I get to join in on the fun!  They have been sold out of this at all of the Sephoras that I’ve gone to recently and since this is a limited edition palette, they will not be getting any more in, BUT they do still have them on Sephora’s website (THANK THE LORD) so my lovely grandparents bought one for me! (Thank you, thank you, thank you!)

IMG_9654

First off, let’s just look at the packaging… IT’S SO AMAZING!  I absolutely love it!  It’s very chic and sophisticated.  (Ooh, fancy words) I really love how it’s circular shaped, because not many palettes are.  The metallic gold snake on the front, with the sparkly purple jewel is so gorgeous!  I already knew I was going to love this palette, before I even opened it up!

IMG_9661

On the inside, we find LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU NEED.  I mean seriously, there are six eyeshadows, a blush, bronzer, AND highlight! I think this makes it perfect to travel with, since it’s all in one convenient place!  AND it only costs $38.00!  That is a REALLY good deal!

IMG_9669IMG_9674

Let’s look at the face items first.  LOOK AT HOW GORGEOUS THEY ARE.  THEY ARE SO PERFECT.  AGH. The highlight has just enough shimmer, but doesn’t make you look like you just dumped a bucket of fairy dust on your head and the bronzer is just the perfect shade and never looks muddy!  The blush also is the perfect shade and it doesn’t ever look like too much; it’s just the PERFECT everyday color!  I could live off of only these products and never really need to use any other blushes, bronzers, or highlighters.  I love them.  I SERIOUSLY LOVE THEM.

IMG_9662IMG_9671IMG_9668

Onto the eyeshadows!  In this palette they have pretty much all of the colors you need for daytime or nighttime looks; from matte to shimmery, light to dark.  There isn’t a black shadow in this palette, but I’m alright with not having as many dark colors, since I don’t tend to gravitate towards them anyway.  There are several darker matte and shimmery shadows that will be perfect for me!  Absolutely everything in this palette has great color pay-off and is SO high quality!  I especially love the shimmery purple and gold shadows since they are such beautiful colors that are easy to use to spice up my everyday look.  I always keep it pretty simple and don’t really add in purples or golds, but these colors are so pretty, I will want to wear them every day!  The purple is just enough of a pop of color, without making it hard to pull off, especially for a daytime look.

IMG_9660

In conclusion, I am just in love with this product.  It’s perfect and high quality.  Everything has great pigmentation and every color is beautiful.  All of the products feel so smooth when you put them on!  The packaging is unique, portable, and beautiful.  The price is amazing($38)!! I would give this 11 out of 10.  I love it.  I SERIOUSLY LOVE IT.  I recommend this palette to everyone, especially those looking for a palette that has everything they’ll need in it for a lower price.  If you wanted an amazing, easy to use palette, with everything you need, THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR! 🙂

I hope that this review has been helpful and that you enjoyed reading!  I love you all!  Thank you SO much for 100+ followers! I am so excited to be able to share my love of the beauty world with you guys!  I hope you all are having an amazing day!

August Ipsy Unboxing 2014!

~Hello there, Lovelies!!~

Sorry I have been a little off of my posting schedule!  I have been sick and yesterday I got my 4 wisdom teeth out, along with getting 3 other teeth worked on, so I’ve been laying around a lot, resting.  I am a lot better now, though! (although I do look a bit like a chipmunk)  So, today, I will show you all the contents of my August Ipsy bag!! If you are unfamiliar with Ipsy, it’s a subscription that sends little beauty treasures once every month for only $10!  The worth of the bag usually amounts to at least 4 or 5 times the cost, so it’s very worth it and very fun!  I hope that you enjoy!

IMG_9563

Starting off, we have a white and orange polka-dotted bag  It’s a vinyl material and I like the circular shape. 🙂  Even though it’s cute, it can’t beat last month’s bag, in my opinion!  Still very happy with it, though.

IMG_9564

Upon opening the bag, we find ourselves staring upon a cute, little, travel-sized dry shampoo, by Klorane.  It’s supposed to be very hydrating, but not very volumizing, so I’m not really sure how I feel about it.  I think it’ll be nice to have a travel-sized dry shampoo, but it won’t be able to replace my regular, which is by Batiste. Still, I am very excited to try it and see how it works on my hair!

IMG_9565

Next up, we stumble upon some chapstick!  Jersey Shore Sun Mongogo Chapstick, to be exact!  It’s supposedly anti-aging and nutrient dense.  Also, it’s non-GMO, so even better!  I am excited to try this and possibly carry it in my purse or put it on my night stand.  A girl can never have too many chapsticks!

IMG_9566IMG_9567IMG_9572

The next thing that we pull out of the bag is Naked’s mascara, Perversion.  It looks very dark and bold, just as it claims on the packaging.  The brush is very thick, so it looks like it would give good volume.  I have heard very good things about this mascara, so I am very excited to try it out!  It looks lovely!

IMG_9568

This product is something I am SO. EXCITED. TO TRY.  Pore Refiner Primer, by Dr. Brandt! I absolutely love things that will make my pores appear smaller, since i have a problem with those pesky pimples on my nose, that make my pores look huge there.  I love Benefit’s professional, so I am curious to see if this might have similar results!  Love it!

IMG_9569IMG_9570

As per usual, there is an eyeshadow product in the bag, and this time, it is a beautiful neutral / rose-y shade called Half-naked, by  J.Cat. it has a slight shimmer to it, but it doesn’t look so glittery that it would fall all over your face.  Definitely excited to try it out!

IMG_9574

I hope that you all have enjoyed seeing the contents of this month’s Ipsy bag!  Thank you all so, so, so much for reading and for getting me to 50 followers!  I love every single one of you and I hope that you are having a lovely day! See you soon! 🙂

#OOTD – My Comfy and Cute Outfit of the Day!

~ Hello again, Lovelies! ~

I went shopping recently and got inspired to put together an outfit that’s perfect for the transition from Summer to Fall! It’s cute, comfy and super affordable!  I will have all of the items and where I got them listed at the end of this post! Enjoy! 🙂

IMG_9475IMG_9472IMG_9469

This outfit is perfect for the beginning of fall, because it looks cute and put together, with or with our the sweater, depending on how warm it is.  Also, it’s SO. COMFY.  It feels like walking around in pajamas!  Another reason it’s perfect for this season is that the sweater isn’t so hot that you would usually need to take it off, because it’s a knitted material that’s really breathable.  This would allow you to wear it in school or other places, so if you wanted to cover your bootay while wearing leggings, you could, without suffocating in the heat of a huge fuzzy sweater. 🙂

IMG_9476 IMG_9468IMG_9473

Now, I’m going to walk through each piece of this outfit with you guys and show y’all some pictures that I took of them!

Let’s start with the tank top! I bought this at Forever 21 and I’m in love with it!  It’s a patterned black and white/cream racerback. It is SO. SOFT.  I was super excited when I found this!  It’s cute and comfortable! It goes perfectly alone when it’s hot out and looks AMAZING, when layered with sweaters, so I’l be wearing this all year round. 🙂 Agh, I just love it!

IMG_9480IMG_9434

Overtop of that tank, I wore a beige knit sweater from Aeropostale. Again, cute and comfy!  This is my favorite sweater I’ve ever owned!  I was so excited that I finally had a cute outfit to pair it with!

IMG_9446

The pants I wore with this outfit are black leggings, which I purchased from PINK.  Again, they are comfortable and cute, sticking with the theme of everything else in this outfit!

IMG_9456

Now, of course, I needed some shoes to wear and I recently purchased some very cute sandals from Target (a.k.a my home away from home).  They are brown leather with pretty gold accents around the ankle, which make them look so fancy! (but don’t get too excited, the gold stuff is just flimsy plastic)  The first time I ever put these on to wear -which was today- one of the straps on one of the sandals broke, which I wasn’t very happy about as they are brand new, but they still work fine and it will be easily fixable.  I guess that’s why they only cost $11! Oh, well. *sighs* I’m still happy to have them. 🙂  It might seem weird that I hung them in a tree for a picture, but hey, hanging things in trees always makes a picture look fancy, so that’s what I did. 😉

IMG_9457

Now, onto the accessoriessss!

On my head, I am wearing a bright coral headband, which I purchased from Charming Charlie’s.  I love how it crosses at the top, giving it a little more interest than a regular flat headband! 🙂

IMG_9445

Around my neck, I am wearing one of my absolute favorite necklaces!  I purchased this last weekend, at Charlotte Russe and it was the very last one, so it was obviously meant to be! 🙂

IMG_9467IMG_1682IMG_9466

Find all of the items I wore here:

Necklace – $6 at Charlotte Russe (They don’t have the exact same one on their website, but this one is almost the same)

Headband – $8 at Charming Charlie (Again, no exact match anymore, but they have REALLY cute head wraps that are the same style, just different colors.  Another similar headband is –> this)

Tanktop – $9.80 at Forever 21

Knit Sweater – $28.00 at Aeropostale (Not the exact sweater, but a very close match)

Leggings – $19.50 at PINK

Sandals – $11.48 at Target

Thank you SO much for reading!  I hope that you’ve enjoyed my outfit of the day!  I love you all!

My Swimsuit Collection 2014!

~Hello, Lovelies!~

Since summer is coming to an end, *chokes through sobbing* I thought I should try to pack in as many summer-related posts as possible, while I still can! So, today, I’m going to show you guys my swimsuit collection!!  I will be including quite a few suits, but these have been adding up over the years and not that many actually fit very well anymore. (but I hope to be repurchasing them in a bigger size:) I still thought it might help to give you guys suggestions if you happen to be looking for a new one, so I have included them all. Enjoy! :3

securedownload-51

This first one is a tankini, from Macy’s, which I included in my July fav’s! I love it, because it’s really bright and summery.  It fits really well and has some cute fringe on the top, too. 🙂 I bought this for around $55-ish, while it was on sale, which is a pretty good deal, considering a lot of suits cost that much for the top or bottom, separately! 🙂

securedownload-55

This tankini is getting small on me, but I thought I’d include it anyway, since I will probably be buying another one, just because I love it so much!  I ordered this from Zappos and it cost around $80 all together.  That kind of sounds like a lot, but it’s super high quality and fits really well! (or at least it did last year, before I grew out of it) :p

securedownload-54

This bikini is from Walmart! (weird, right? Who knew Walmart would have cute bikinis!)  I love it, because it’s super cute, summery, and bright!  It cost about $10 for each piece, so $20 all together.  This, too is sadly growing small on me (very small, actually), so I will hopefully find this or something like it, again!  Walmart always has amazing and cheap finds!

securedownload-50

This bikini is from Old Navy!  It cost about $40 all together.  I absolutely love it, because it’s so summery and cute… I think I’m saying that about everything, but it’s true!  It’s not so tiny that I feel uncomfortable in it and it just fits perfectly!  I highly recommend that you buy this if you are looking for a bikini that doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall right off of you, strings, tiny triangles, and all. 🙂 It also has a great selection of colors.  This was bought last year, however, so Old Navy might not have this exact suit anymore.

securedownload-52

Again, Walmart has amazed me!  I found this (actually my mom found it) bikini at Walmart, at the beginning of this summer and I fell in love with it!  It fits PERFECTLY.  And I mean just look at it’s patriotic brightness!  Agh, I just love it.  AND it only costs $20 all together!

securedownload-49

Onto the very last suit, which is this ADORABLE peachy-orange and bright pink bikini.  HOW CA-YUTE IS THIS? (very)  As if it wasn’t amazing enough already, guess what!… It’s REVERSIBLE. On top of that, it fits better than any other bathing suit that I own and is my new favorite!  I purchased this last month, while on vacation, in Crescent Bar. I found it in a little shop and it was on sale!  I (my mom, actually… again) paid about $35 ALL. TOGETHER. That’s a really good deal, because this suit is seriously SO high quality, adorable, and perfect all around!  The color makes me look SO tan!  I love it!

securedownload-56securedownload-57

I though I’d include this cover-up, because I have been loving it all summer!  I purchased this from JC Penny for about $15.  It is a VERY bright coral color, with striped lace-ish material across it.  The cute design in it shows off the swimsuit underneath and the tie at the back of the suit sticks out of the keyhole in the back of the coverup. It’s just so well thought out! It’s not like all the other ones, where people can’t tell you are wearing a bathing suit underneath, so you look all lumpy and weird.  People can actually see the suit a little, so they know you’ve been swimming, and you’re not actually just a really sweaty person, who just peed their pants.  I’m always paranoid people will think that, after I swim and put on dry clothes, which my bathing suit then soaks through.  It’s just perfect!

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing my swimsuit collection and that maybe it’s helped you out, if you’re looking for a new one!  I love you all!  Talk to you soon!

Hanna
