Hey there, beauties!!
One of my most valuable lessons I’ve learned over the years: Always keep your makeup essentials by your side. Okay, maybe that doesn’t seem like a very important lesson, but it’s gotten me out of some close scrapes. A zit could sneak attack you at any moment when you least expect it. Your lips or lashes could be in dire need of a touch up. With your setting powder and travel-size brush in hand, you’ll be ready to save the world. Oily T-zones be gone! You never know what might happen, but the tools that you carry in your makeup arsenal will probably save the day.
Today, I’ll share with you my basics that I keep with me wherever I go. I think that it is a great idea to stash your little makeup necessity bag in your car or purse so you’re always prepared!
Firstly, a gloss is definitely a must-have at all times. NYX’s Butter Gloss in the shade Tiramisu is one of my absolute favorites! I think that for your on-the-go makeup stash, gloss is the way to go since you don’t have to think about putting it on and won’t have to worry about ending up looking like Miranda Sings if you don’t happen to have a mirror on hand. 😉
If you have troubles with an oily T-zone area as I do, it will be a good idea to keep a powder with you at all times just in case you need to mattify your skin a bit. I bring with me my travel-sized MUFE HD Translucent Pressed Powder and my mini bareMinerals Full Flawless Face Brush to do the job.
To me, lashes are extremely important, so I like to always have a mascara by my side. I’ve been obsessed with this Lancôme Definicils mascara as of late since it gives my lashes volume, separates them, and gives TONS of length. This little travel-sized version is perfect to throw in my bag and go.
Concealer is DEFINITELY important to carry with you -maybe even the most important thing in my opinion! I use my NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer in the shade Custard. As I said before -zits are sneaky little buggers that can pop up and surprise you at any moment, so it’s a good precaution to keep your concealer weaponry by your side. This way, you can shoot down the enemy if pimples happen to appear or your concealer wears off throughout the day.
Lastly is a step that isn’t completely necessary, but very helpful nonetheless! I personally love wearing eyeshadow at all times, so I like to keep a neutral brown shade with me. Powder or cream form will do! I like to pick a shade similar to my eyebrow shade so that the eyeshadow can double as a brow filler (although you’ll need to bring a liner brush for that). We all know that brows are super important for shaping your face, so if you feel naked without filling them in -worry no longer, because this eyeshadow has your
back brows! At the moment, I am absolutely obsessed with Maybelline’s Creamy Beige 24 Hour Color Tattoo.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope that this has been helpful to you! What are some of your essentials?
I’d love to connect with you on social media! :
