My July Favorites!

~Hello again, Lovelies!~

Guess what time it is!… Monthly favorites time!! *shocked expression* How did it get here so fast? It’s already August! I know everyone says this every month, but July went exceptionally fast! I really don’t like August, because it’s like the Sunday of Summer… let’s just block that thought out of our minds for a moment, though. It’s too depressing.

Oh and here’s a mini announcement! I have finally figured out a schedule for my posts!  You’ll find another blog from me every Wednesday and Saturday!

Alllright! Let’s start off with the Beauty Favorites:

securedownload-15securedownload-45I have been absolutely in love with the Sunkissed Bronzer, from Pop Beauty that I got in my July Ipsy bag.  It seems like it might be too shimmery, but actually, it has just the right amount of shimmer to make you look like a glowing goddess, without making you a shiny, hot mess.

Speaking of products that make you into a glowing goddess, the Too Faced Candlelight Glow highlighter does just that.  It is absolutely amazing and I have been loving it this month, while it makes me look all summery.  When it was still new, it had the cutest chandelier in the center of it, but that has been rubbed away after days of use… and I mean a LOT of days.  I’ve barely made a dent in this thing, even though I’ve been using it like crazy!  It will last me forever! (Which I am very happy about:)

Staying on the subject of products you use on your cheeks, let’s move onto the most amazing summer blush EVERRR; Coralista from Benefit.  I actually didn’t like this color very much when I was paler, but now that I have a tan, I am in love with it! It even has a slight shimmer to give you that summer glow!

Now, since it is summer and I have been swimming a lot, I have needed a waterproof mascara, so my lashes can still look fabulous, even at the beach! 😉  Rocket Waterproof Mascara from Maybelline has done just that!  It NEVER smudges and it gives my lashes length AND volume.  The non-waterproof version of this is my holy-grail mascara.  I am so glad to have a water-proof version for the summer, though!  However, it is very difficult to remove!  Like I said, it doesn’t smudge!

More waterproof products that I have been loving are these two eyeliners from Urban Decay in Yeyo and Bourbon.  They are perfect for summer, because like I said, they’re waterproof, so I don’t have to worry about smudging.  I like using the white one on my waterline and even blend some in the inner corner of my eye and on my brow bone on days where I don’t feel like using eyeshadow, but still want a little sum’n sum’n on my eyes.  I use the brown pencil to line my lash line and then, since it’s cream-based, I use a liner brush to wing it out and shape it.  I suck at applying eyeliner, so I really recommend these because they are really forgiving and they won’t smudge.

My absolute FAVORITE nail polish of all time is Playdate, by Essie, which I have been using a lot this month.  It’s almost a pastel color, but at the same time, it’s SO vibrant. (I know that doesn’t make sense, but it’s the way it is)  It doesn’t need many coats and is really pigmented.  Also, it doesn’t chip for at least four-ish days.  It’s amazing.

Pink’s Sunkissed perfume has been what I’ve reached for pretty much every day this month when I wear perfume. (which is a lot)  It just smells SO. GOOD.  It’s a sweet/fresh scent that is hard to describe, but just take my word, it smells perfect. 🙂

Now, for the Books, Movies, and Music!

PERFECTION.  THAT IS WHAT THIS BOOK IS.  If I Stay is an amazing story about a teenage girl with an amazing life ahead of her.  Julliard, the perfect boyfriend, an amazing family… but it all changes when her family is hit on an icy road, by a speeding truck.  She comes out of her body and views the world and the people she loves that are left in it and is faced with the decision to stay or go, while either way, she is losing people she loves.  Her decision isn’t revealed until the VERY. END.  You will be hooked.  I finished this book in under 24 hours.  It’s now in my top ten reads.  You’ve gotta read this.  *whispers* pssst. Look out for my review on this book that will be up, next Saturday;)

The song that has been on repeat no matter WHAT I’m doing is All About That Bass, by Meghan Trainor.  It just makes me so happy, even if I’m in a bad mood. 🙂

This might seem like a weird favorite, but seriously. THIS. SHOW. *motions with hands wildly* IT’S SO AMAZING!  I am addicted and have watched several episodes every day for quite a while, now.. *smiles guiltily* It is a cooking show with a twist, where you can bid and pay to sabotage the other contestants with the $25,000 you start out with.  You get to keep whatever money you have left at the end, if you win.  The sabotages could include having to use coffee filters instead of bowls, using a GIANT whisk in place of all cutting and stirring utensils, or having to balance an egg on a spoon, while you cook your dish. It is so addictive and fun to watch!  I am so happy my friend told me about this or I might never have seen it!

Onto the Food Favorites!

securedownload-32

Mango liquorice might sound gross, but it tastes like it is sent from the heavens.  It doesn’t taste like liquorice at all, it just taste like soft, chewy mango pieces of goodness.  I am obsessed with anything mango flavored, so this is right up my ally. 🙂

securedownload-29

Trident’s Tropical Twist gum is something I have been chewing EVERY. DAY… FOR MONTHS.  Again, it tastes like mango perfection and makes my breath smell all fruity and good. This might seem like a weird favorite and it’s technically not a food, but hey… I love it, so I’m putting it in this post. 🙂

securedownload-24

This is a cup I’ve used almost every day since I got it… or technically, my Mom got it, but she’s a sharer;) It a double-lined cup, with a purple metallic lid and pretty, white flowers on the sides.  Also, it is a bright purple at the bottom, which fades back to clear towards the top, so it looks like you’re always drinking this amazing purple drink, when really, its just water. 🙂

Lastly, let’s talk about my Fashion Favorites.

securedownload-35

I have been wearing this bathing suit a TON.  I got it from Macy’s and it’s just SO CUTE.  I don’t always feel comfortable just wearing a bikini, but it’s REALLY hard to find any other type of swimsuit.  I am really glad that I found this, because it fits perfectly and it soopah adorable and summery!

securedownload-36

This is my favorite beach bag, at the moment!  It is a big, metallic bag from Pink.  I love the size, because I can fit a lot of stuff in it and it’s really cute, so… what else could ya want in a beach bag?  (nothing 😉

securedownload-40

Something that I’ve been putting in that bag every time I’ve used it is this adorable beach towel, from Walmart!  It was a steal!  I am so happy my momma picked this up for me. 🙂  How cute is it? (very cute)  And I mean, just look at the size! (you can’t really tell, but it’s HUGE)  I hate it when beach towels are tiny!  Gurl, I need to be able to wrap myself in a towel until I become a burrito.  If I can’t do that, it doesn’t pass the test!

I hope that you’ve enjoyed seeing all of my favorites, this month!  I love you all!

Xo,

Hannie

I really like that you did an end of summer review of your favorites. It’s a really nice idea. If you liked If I Stay, I would try a Certain Slant of Light. It’s similar to out of body experiences and the choice of living or taking your chances in the beyond.
Funny enough I had very similar thoughts about the Pop Beauty Bronzer. I also got it in my Ipsy bag, and it works as a blush even when you’re paler as long as you don’t put it on thick.

Thanks! That sounds interesting, I might just have to read it! I love getting suggestions about new books:)
Using the bronzer as a blush sounds like a really good idea! I’ll have to try that out!
